What are the best name brand shampoos to kill fleas & ticks?

Adams? What are the best name brand shampoos to kill fleas %26amp; ticks?
Any shampoo will remove fleas if left on for 5-10min. Using one of the top spot-ons will kill fleas for a month. A bath will only kill the fleas on the dog at the time of bath regardless of whatever product you use or dip. Do not use any of the cheap spot-ons products - have been a long list of them causing severe problems %26amp; death with dogs %26amp; cats. Shampoos are not much use at all, they just get some adult fleas off - the eggs and larvae hatch and your dog has fleas all over again.

If he is infested, get him to the vet for a Capstar pill, that gets all the fleas off fast. Then shampoo to get rid of dead fleas, but the MOST important thing is to put a topical liquid on the back of your dog's neck every single month - either Frontline or Advantage - that keeps all fleas, their eggs and larvae off. No more fleas if put on the dog every single month.

If ticks are also a problem, use Advantix or Frontline Plus, both prevent fleas and ticks.

Don't even waste your time and money on cheap stuff, shampoos, collars, powders, etc. --- just doesn't work.
shampoos aren't really good for fleas and ticks. The best way to get rid of them is to use a Capstar pill (or the other new one that lasts a month) THEN shampoo. Adams is pretty good, but only as a supplemental measure.
